Local Delegates Needed for the International SAA Combined Conference and Convention

Directly following the upcoming April 7th Puget Sound Intergroup meeting, the PSI Zoom will host an Area Assembly for Areas 44 and 45 in order to elect delegates for the upcoming International ISO Conference in Houston, May 23rd to 24th (contact your GSR for the password).

This is the first year in some time that we have had an in person convention and conference, and although in person attendance isn’t mandatory to serve as an area delegate, for those already interested in traveling and attending the convention, providing service as a delegate at the conference could be a great recovery opportunity. This type of service gives our collective group conscience and all members in our state a vote on important SAA issues at the conference. Without the service of the area delegates, the group conscience of all Washington SAA members will be absent from this important process. If this is something you’re interested in, it is a necessary and needed position for healthy functioning of our organization. Prior intergroup and area involvement is not necessary. We encourage everyone to talk to their sponsors about how they can be of service to their groups.

As an intergroup, we exist to support our member groups and their goals for recovery and service. Part of this support has historically included financial sponsorships to help with such service opportunities such as the conference and convention. To learn more and to join the intergroup meeting – or the area assembly afterwards – please use the information on our contact page.
